Canadian mezzo-soprano Michèle Losier is regular guest at the world’s leading opera houses, for instance as Carmen, Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Siébel (Faust) at the Vienna State Opera, Octavian at Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Idamante in Mozart’s Idomeneo at Teatro alla Scalla, Sesto (La clemenza di Tito), Ascagne (Les Troyens) at the Opéra national de Paris, Nicklausse at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, Ascanio (Benvenuto Cellini) at De Nationale Opera Amsterdam, Prince Charmant (Cendrillon) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte at the Opéra national de Paris, at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and at the Salzburg Festival, as Carmen at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen and many more .
In the current season Michèle Losier can be heard as Octavian at Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, she returns to Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, where she was highly acclaimed this year for her role debut as Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos, with Mahler‘s Rückert-Lieder and Mahler’s 2nd Symphony under the baton of Zubin Mehta, she will sing Ernest Chausson’s Poème de l’amour et de la mer with WDR Sinfonieorchester under the baton of Marie Jacquot and she will sing concerts with Elias at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under the baton of Daniele Gatti.
